Pull the pin and adjust to the next setting to use the alternate plow setting. The plowing width is 5′6″ when fully angled or in V-mode, and 5′1″ in scoop mode. The different plow configurations let you handle different snow consistencies and depths with ease, all with one plow.

Does my IMPACT™ Heavy-Duty v-plows require different wiring for a John Deere XUV 845/875 versus a XUV 835/865?

Yes, while the plow blade and primary mounting components may be shared, the wiring and specific attachment hardware vary between these vehicles. It is critical that your dealer is fully informed of your exact vehicle model to ensure the correct components are ordered. Specifically, the John Deere-compatible IMPACT™ kits utilize a unique lift frame and proprietary wiring designed to integrate the plow’s signals directly with the John Deere’s vehicle wiring harness. To ensure seamless installation, we highly recommend using Quick Match or consulting an authorized dealer to confirm the correct components.

How long is the standard harness for an IMPACT™ heavy-duty v-plow?

The standard harness is 94” long. An extended harness (#70570) is available for UTVs that need a longer 130″ battery cable for the extended wheelbase or second-row seating—such as four-passenger/crew models—where the battery is located further from the front mounting point.

Adjustable Width

When fully angled or in V mode, the IMPACT^™ UTV v-plow plowing path is 5′ wide, and 4′ 7″ in scoop. For UTVs with a wider wheel base, a width-adjustment setting is available to make your plowing path wider in these positions. Using the alternate setting, the plowing width is 5′ 6″ when fully angled or in V, and 5′ 1″ in scoop.

Double-acting Cylinders

A standard feature on the IMPACT^™ UTV v-plow, UltraLock double-acting cylinders allow the operator to use the v-plow in straight blade mode by locking the wings together instead of having to toggle each wing independently.

The double-acting cylinders also hold the wings firmly in place for clean, efficient back dragging.
