Does the IMPACT™ Mid-Duty snowplow use the Ultra Mount® 2 System?

No, the IMPACT™ uses its own lightweight quick-mounting system designed specifically for smaller utility vehicles and compact tractors. Featuring a shorter receiver that brings the blade closer to the machine for an optimal center of gravity, it delivers the same fast attach-and-detach convenience while prioritizing the ground clearance and agility required for smaller rigs.

Why are there two hydraulic plow widths available for the IMPACT™ Mid-Duty?

We have a 66” blade width for narrow sidewalk applications where a mid-duty UTV like the Polaris Ranger SP 570 or a Honda Pioneer 700 is applicable. The 72” wide model is configured for wider walking paths or driveways. It is engineered for use on larger UTV models like the John Deere XUV 845/875.

Is there a different control for the Mid-Duty IMPACT™ plows vs the Heavy-Duty IMPACT™ plows?

Yes. Since mid-duty UTVs are oftentimes not fully enclosed, the controls for the mid-duty IMPACT™ straight blade plows are exposed to the elements. This requires a specialized, weatherproof design that features larger buttons for easier use with winter gloves. Heavy-duty IMPACT™ plow controls are adapted from our proven truck-plows since they are most often used in a fully enclosed cab.

Can you back drag well with a Mid-Duty IMPACT™ straight blade model or is it too light?

Yes. The plow relies entirely on the weight of the blade for downward force (approx. 175–180 lbs) so although it’s a lightweight snowplow, you can still back drag snow from tight spaces (including both the hydraulic and winch lift models).

To ensure the blade stays aligned with the wheel track, the unique patented Sway-Frame^™ design allows the blade to shift side-to-side. This keeps the blade in the optimal position to maximize cleanup with each pass, preventing the UTV wheels from packing down missed snow.

WINCH LIFT OPERATION*

The winch lift version comes with many of the features that the hydraulic lift version offers, including the unique Sway-Frame™ design and with two blade widths: 66 and 72 inches. The ultra-light winch system comes with a unique bail design to reduce side stress on the winch assembly equipped on the vehicle and provides a more vertical lift.

Angling the plow is as easy as unpinning an assembly, manually moving the blade to your desired point, and pinning it back in just a few seconds. The mounting system is easy to install and use, as it is identical to the powered version. Its design optimizes ground clearance and is built tough to withstand harsh winter environments year after year.

Two heavy-duty coil springs protect your plow and UTV by allowing the whole blade to trip when striking obstacles.

ULTRAFINISH™ Powder-Coat

The ULTRAFINISH™ baked on powder coat with epoxy primer protects against wear and rust. An eight-wheel shot blaster pre-treatment and multi-stage pre-wash prepares the plow surface for optimum coating adhesion.
